Iconic Sonic Screwdriver Doctor.Who.Along block 7

Welcome Whovians!  With the extra days in July, we've had a bit of a longer break from the last block.  Hopefully you had a bit of a chance to get caught up and are not in withdrawal!  Are you ready for block 7?

It's pretty iconic I think ~ The Sonic Screwdriver - of course no Doctor would be caught without it!

Pattern pieces and instructions download here

As always, all the Doctor.Who.Along patterns are available through the Craftsy website as well.

Did everyone see there will be a new Doctor? I'm not sure what to think of this just yet.  It's so hard to let go of a Doctor.  Don't you think?

Happy Sewing!

Totally know what you mean - I love Matt Smith. Mind you I loved David Tennant as well and I am secretly pleased Malcolm Tucker's going be The Doctor! Makes me smile.

I tend to struggle to accept a new doctor, or even a new companion, but I know I always grow to love them, so I try to be open to the newbies and give them a chance.

What I love about Doctor Who is how I absolutely accept that Matt Smith, David Tenant, Tom Baker, and the rest (11, and soon-to-be 12 individuals) are all the same person/alien :)

Totally forgot to say how good your Sonic Screwdriver turned out :) There's another familiar Doctor Who 'character' that keeps changing 'faces'.

Serves me right for being obtuse! Peter Capaldi played a foul mouthed spin doctor in a UK tv series called The Thick of It. If you can handle the bad language his is a brilliant character. They did make a movie from the series to tie in with US politics and James Gandolfini was also in it called In the Loop. Just seemed funny to me he's now a clean talking Doctor saving the universe!
